indy, couch, blah
I'm excited to see the long-awaited 4th Indiana Jones movie tonight. I've never been much of an Indy geek but I cannot deny the impact seeing the movies had on my childhood. I rather enjoy adventure fiction set in the post-industrial, pre-modern, WWII era. The world was somehow bigger then, at least in narrative, and easily fits the steampunk genre within its relative borders. I just hope they don't screw it up. George Lucas is known to screw up franchises of his own design. Now, if a guy with white armor in his bedroom closet says that, you know it's true.

The Ugly Couch Show is coming along nicely. The shows are getting crisper, the dialogue is getting sharper, and subscription links are being added. Our geeky hobby is slowly growing up. I only wish we had a few days a week to devote to it. Alas, none of us are independently wealthy. Yet.

This post would be longer but I have to get back to work. I think I may have too many irons in the fire. Bah. We'll see.
